Bainbridge Organic Distillers started with the goal of creating ultra-premium craft distilled spirits that would express the character of the land on which the grains are grown, and the unique climate of our island location.

We founded our distillery on Bainbridge Island because we believe it provides the perfect environment to create and mature the highest quality Organic spirits. Weather systems approach us from all sides, churning down the cut of the Puget Sound, and our water source, protected and sheltered by the Olympic Mountain Range to our west, is pristine. Many days we are enveloped by salty, briny maritime air that influences our maturing casks. The tallest things here are the heritage trees in our Grand Forest. Simply put, the unspoiled nature of this island, and the rural and agricultural nature of this place, provides an unparalleled backdrop to produce the best spirits to be found anywhere.

Distilling is an age-old trade, and we have studied not only the most modern techniques used today by distilleries throughout the world, but also the methods used before computer sensors, high speed liquid chromatography and genetically modified enzymes and yeasts. We have examined the best spirits made in the world today and also vodkas, gins and whiskeys made during the 50’s, 40’s and 30’s, before prohibition and as far back as the late 1800’s. We have drawn inspiration, technical information and clues about technique through this study, and we aim to make this evident in the spirits we create.
